Project Overview
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in Adelaide's western suburbs is an expansion on the acute or short-term menatl health services already provided.
The new mental health unit has 24 bedrooms with private ensuites and is designed tp provide a home-like environment, with access to outdoor spaces with natural light, therapy and recreation spaces. It will support people who require longer-stay rehabilitation to improve their quality of life and make community connections while still receiving care.
The service model will improve patient outcomes by reducing the amount of time they need to stay in an acute-care bed and provide a therapeutic environment to support their recovery.
